DX Style
DX die heads are closed with a spring band auto-die closer. They can open either by "pull-off" or push-off action, the latter giving more precise repeatability for thread length. The shank is semi-floating or cushioned. They can be used manually but are more often used on automatic machinery, especially when producing short fne threads in soft materials.
